My name is David Slick and I am the president of the Blessed Sacrament School Board for the 2010-2011 school year. I have two daughters attending Blessed Sacrament and I am beginning my 5th year on the School Board.

The School Board mission statement is: Blessed Sacrament School Board exists to give ongoing support and assistance to the Pastor and Principal in Promoting Catholic identity and assuring ongoing excellence in education at Blessed Sacrament School. Simply put, we advise, consult with, and assist the Blessed Sacrament School administration, faculty, and parents.

The Blessed Sacrament School Board consists of 13 elected members who serve as committee chairpersons for a three year term. Additionally, the Board consists of non-elected members to include the Pastor, Principal, Vice-Principal, Advancement Director, and the HSA Liaison. Finally, the School Board has recently added numerous committee member positions available for shorter terms and specific projects.

If you are interested in membership, please contact me to obtain an application. We are always looking for additional members to assist us with a variety of committees. Serving on the Blessed Sacrament School Board is not only a satisfying opportunity to complete volunteer obligations, it is also a chance to make a positive difference for the school, our students, our families, and the staff.

School Board meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month during the school year at 5:45pm in the school music room. All parents are welcome and we encourage you to attend.
