The Catholic Business Network

The Catholic Business Network will be hosting the first quarterly dinner meeting of its new fiscal year on September 20 at The Market Street Grill in Cottonwood, from 6:15pm to 8:45pm. It will be a chance to network with other Catholic business people and to hear a presentation by Gary Harter, the Director of the Governor’s Council on Economic Development. He will be speaking on recent business developments in Utah and the resources available to Utah businesses through the GOED. If you are involved in business, we cordially invite you to join us. Soup Labels

When cutting the Campbell's Soup labels, make sure to include the UPS (barcode). (The Progresso labels belong to Box Tops.) Sadly, when the labels are incomplete we lose credit for them. Please include the barcode. It makes Karla sad when your efforts go to waste! (Thanks Karla for counting all our labels!)

Cell Phone and Internet Safety

Dr. Adam Schwebach is having a talk on cell phone and Internet safety. This will be on September 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Judge Memorial Auditorium. This is for all parents of middle and high school students. Click here for more info.

Smith's Earn & Learn

Thank you to all Smith's shoppers. Blessed Sacrament School received $943.79 from Smith's Earn & Learn Program.

It is easy for all families to participate in this fundraiser. Simply register your Fresh Values/Reward card and designate Blessed Sacrament School as your school of choice. Click here to visit Smith's Food and Drug. Be sure and have your Fresh Values/Reward card handy, you will need the number on the card.

If you have already enrolled, remember to re-register your card each year. Your cash register receipt will print out a message and a barcode that must be scanned by the cashier in order to re-enroll in the program. All prior enrollments expire on 9-30-2010. (Click here for a printout of the barcode, and take it with you when you go to Smith's.)

We can earn up to $10,000 each year, so remember to register your cards today!

Forms Due

Reminder to all families:

The light blue Handbook Signature Sheet is due Tuesday, August 31^st!

Additionally the White Internet Safety form is due.

Please make sure that both sheets have appropriate signatures. Please send in the forms in with your student, who will turn the papers into their Teachers.

Additional Handbook Signature Sheets are printable from the website. If you need additional internet safety forms, please have your student request one from Mr. Luke, the computer Teacher.

Embroidered Vests are in!

The embroidered vests have been delivered to the school! Teachers have put the vests in the student’s backpacks today, Friday, September 03, 2010. Please be sure to check backpacks this weekend. At this point all students should have a blue knit sweater item with the Oval Blessed Sacrament Logo embroidered on it. Please be sure to wear the vest on all Mass and Formal Uniform days.

Correction in Volunteer Signup

Thank you for your patience with our new processes and the new website.

We just learned the the website has not been accepting "day of" bookings on the volunteer appointment calendar. This should now be repaired.

We encourage parents and friends who find they have spare time on a given day to signup for activities in the morning on the "day of" most of our activities, especially for the lunchroom. Advance planning is wonderful, but not always possible.

Volleyball Parent Volunteers Needed

We are in need of parent volunteers to coach our 5th and 6^th grade volleyball. We may have to cancel two teams due to lack of coaches.

Looking for part-time employment? Want to help feed the hungry? We have an immediate opening for the position of Lunchroom Coordinator. This is a Monday-Thursday commitment from 10:30 am - 12:45 p.m.
