The Blessed Sacrament Family Mentor program was created to help make the transition to a new school a wonderful and exciting experience. New, incoming families are matched with a mentor family typically with children in the same grade level. These families connect with one another at the beginning of the school year.
Mentor families are invaluable resources for getting information on everything from car pool questions to school procedures. It's a great way to make sure new students start the year with a friend. If you haven't been assigned a family mentor or would like to volunteer to be a mentor family, please let the HSA Vice President know at

Pre-Kindergarten at Blessed Sacrament is much more than just an alternative to traditional day care. At Blessed Sacrament, children in Pre-Kindergarten learn to become students. The teachings strike a balance between academic preparation for Kindergarten and beyond, with movement, creativity and activity.
With a limit of 16 students for both the morning and afternoon sessions, children are able to receive the one-on-one attention they need to feel secure, and to learn to love coming to school each day.
The unique needs of students who are middle school age are fulfilled by Blessed Sacrament's ideology of a "school within a school." This philosophy provides students with diverse academic opportunities offered by a team of expert educators prepared to address the needs of this age group.
Eighth grade students participate in 2 retreats during the school year. The purpose of these retreats is to allow time to reflect on personal goals and achievements.
All middle school students are provided additional athletic and social activities with other students from the Diocese's other middle schools.
Students graduate prepared for the challenges they will encounter in high school without feelings of being overwhelmed and intimidated by the new environment. Our students regularly test into the advanced and honors classes on high school entrance exams. Blessed Sacrament students are ready for their future experiences with a strong, value-centered foundation from which to grow.
Students at Blessed Sacrament focus on Liturgical Music and study the aspects of musical elements and performance. The music program integrates the standards as set forth by the National Standards for the Arts and the Utah Fine Arts Core Curriculum. Students are given opportunities to showcase their talents throughout the year.
Open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, the Extended Day Program (EDP) provides working families of Blessed Sacrament Students with care, supervision, and enrichment activities in a family environment. Children enjoy time for physical activities, crafts, homework, and snacks, as well as time for creative play. EDP at Blessed Sacrament School is a before and after school option. Families can feel excited about their children's participation in the many activities EDP provides.
The Learning Resource Center (LRC) is a program offered to all Blessed Sacrament Students to help them along their road to success. The LRC provides individualized attention to students who are accelerating ahead of their classmates, as well as attention to students needing extra or specialized learning assistance, thus, expanding the range of students we serve.
Time is also spent with classes who are using technology-based curriculum.
All Blessed Sacrament Students are offered Physical Education Classes that encourage physical development and teach sportsmanship. Students in Pre-Kindergarten thru Fifth Grade have P.E. once a week, while Sixth thru Eighth Grade attend twice a week.

The purpose of the Blessed Sacrament School Horizon Program is to provide those students identified as having potential to achieve at a higher academic level than their classroom peers with additional opportunities to explore the world around them.
The Horizon Program runs concurrent to, and in partnership with the student's classroom teachers. The program is a safe environment for students to investigate their individual ways of thinking, ask questions and be creative. Students meet once a week to participate in projects and activities. Assigned times are established so as not to interfere with core classes. Students in the Horizon Program are challenged in the areas of; reading, creative writing, mathematics, science, critical thinking, and public speaking.
The Accelerated Math Option is open to 7th and 8th grade students who demonstrate math aptitude above their grade level. Students who participate in this class routinely test into the highest math classes possible upon entering high school. By accessing this opportunity, students are challenged and given the complex tools for achieving their highest level of success, academically and personally.
*There is an added charge for participation in this program*
