Blessed Sacrament School has always valued and appreciated the entire community for its commitment and generosity. Over the years, Blessed Sacrament has been the recipient of countless monetary donations, donations in-kind, and thousands of hours in donated parent and family involvement. We could not survive without everyone's help and generosity!

Below is a list of fundraisers that we count on to keep our tuition at an affordable level.

United Way donations can be designated by the participating employee to benefit Blessed Sacrament School. This designation can be made at the time of the United Way Campaign sign up. On the line marked "Other" simply write in Blessed Sacrament School, Sandy, Utah. We do not have a designated number with United Way, but are on the list of acceptable organizations to accept gifts. Please contact your human resources office to make your designation. Money from United Way generally supplements the general operating budget.

Memorials

Gifts made in memory of a loved one can be used as the donor designates and is always welcome.

Concessions

100% of the proceeds from concession sales stays within the athletic department and directly benefits the children.

Grants

Grants have been received to fund projects such as the E.L. Wiegand Computer Lab, E.L. Wiegand Library/Media Center, and the Larry & Diane Cochran Learning Resource Center.

In-Kind

All donations in-kind such as paper, supplies, books, etc. all reduce our operating expenses and help to offset a possible increase in fees and/or tuition.

Volunteer Hours

All families are asked to donate 24 hours of service to the school and parish community. During the school year 2008-2009, our dedicated parents logged in an amazing 9,900 hours. At $12.50 an hour this translates into a savings for the school of $123,750 in man hours that we did not have to pay for!

Smith's Food & Drug Scrip

Blessed Sacrament School gets to keep 5 cents of each dollar in scrip that it sells. The scrip comes in $5, $10, $20, and $50 denominations. Enroll in the "Earn & Learn" Program - You can pick up your free Fresh Values Card at your local Smith's store. Matching Programs

Many corporations will match their employee's contributions to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations such as Blessed Sacrament School. You can double the size of your donation simply by asking the human resource department of your company if they have a matching program. What a deal! Below is a list of companies that have a matching donation program in place.

Take Charge of Education with Target. Target donates up to 1% of purchases made through the Take Charge of Education program. We encourage all parents, teachers, alumni, and community members to support our school. It doesn't cost anything to sign up for the program, and you can designate our school as the beneficiary! Cash for Trash

Blessed Sacrament School is aware of the need to recycle and reuse. In the foyer of the school we continue to collect used cell phones, empty printer cartridges (small only), and Cream O' Weber Milk Caps. All of your trash means cash for our school and more importantly and cleaner environment for everyone!

The Ebay Giving Works Program allows you to sell anything on Ebay and donate a portion of the sale to Blessed Sacrament School all the way to 100%. So, clean out that attic and you can benefit your school! Additionally, the "Giving Works" partnership means that you can donate cash to the school online, no sale necessary.
